Johannesburg - Television personality Kylie Jenner has kept to her promise which she made on her birthday. The 21-year-old mother is using a portion of the profits from her Kylie Cosmetics 21st birthday collection to give back to the community.

The makeup mogul had launched a limited edition of her birthday collection makeup items in August in honour of her birthday. She announced on Twitter at the time that she planned to donate a percentage of her sales to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles.

According to Habitat for Humanity of Greater Los Angeles (Habitat LA), the reality TV star has reached her target and has donated enough funds to build an entire new house. Erin Rank, President and CEO, Habitat LA said: “We are moved by the generous gift we have received from Ms. Jenner.”

“Through the power of social media, she not only introduced the work of Habitat for Humanity to millions of people to inform them of our mission, she will also make a lasting impact in the lives of a family in Los Angeles. We cannot thank Ms. Jenner enough and look forward to building in partnership with her and our partner homeowners.”

In a press release received by People magazine, Kylie said that she feels blessed to be able to donate.

“I feel so blessed in my life and being able to pay it forward on a special day like my birthday has been so rewarding,” said the Keeping Up With The Kardashians star.

“Habitat LA is an amazing organisation that helps provide housing for families in need and I can’t wait to meet the deserving family and help build the home alongside them in Culver City!” she added.

Forbes reported in July that Kylie is the youngest most successful business women making $900m net worth in less than three years. Kylie gives all credit of her success to social media.
