Sindisiwe Magoso, better known as ‘La Sauce’, become a firm favourite with fans after just a short time in the South African music industry.
The musician, who is represented by Ambitiouz Entertainment, is one of the few local artists getting generous airplay on radio currently, thanks to her recent catchy singles, I Do and Ncese.
Behind the scenes, the Coolerbag hit-maker has been working on her first album under Ambitious Entertainment, so fans can expect to hear more of her good music soon.
“My first album, called Broken Lipstick, will be released on 27 November 2017. People can expect to hear new, different sounds,” La Sauce says.
La Sauce told Drum that working on her first album was a remarkable experience. “I want people to relate with my feelings and emotions through my music,” she adds, admitting that the process wasn’t without its challenges, though, including long hours.
“I had to sleep in the studio sometimes just to ensure that everything is done on time and that people will enjoy my music,” she says.
The album has also allowed La Sauce to collaborate with other respected players in the industry. “I’m working with Kyle, Lisa and Davido, just to name a few,” she reveals.
So what’s next for the 18-year-old artist, once Broken Lipstick is launched?
She says she wants to continue producing good music, as well as help empower the youth: “After working on my album, I’ll be travelling a lot, and I also want to contribute to programmes and foundations for youth development”.
