LaSauce’s I Do fetauring Amanda Black has reached 4 million views on YouTube.

The 18-year-old is making her mark on the music industry after dropping her debut album, Broken Lipstick, which gave us the hits Coolerbag, Ncese and Number One.

Fans are already comparing the Durban-born star with Rihanna. LaSauce also added her vocals to Miss Pru’s latest hit single, Isaga Lam, featuring Nadia Nakai, Gigi Lamayne and Londie London.

LaSauce said she’s very happy her song has reached 4 million views on YouTube and for making history at such a young age.

“It’s overwhelming, it’s amazing and it’s also an achievement for me as a young female artist. The song is a love anthem so we always knew this was going to be big and I’m very happy to become the first female artist in South Africa to actually reach 4 million views for one song, it’s just a dream come true,” LaSauce said.

The teen added that love inspired this song – and she wants people to have a love song to easily relate to and to bring a sense of hope that love still exists.

“Love inspired this song – we sat down with Amanda Black because we wanted something that will remind people about the feeling of being in love, because right now love is starting to fade. I Do reminds us of how it feels to be in love,” LaSauce said.

She also explains how Amanda and she had to be creative with marketing the song.

“We had to be creative on this song, our production team did a very good job. You’ve got Amanda Black, who’s a multi-award-winning artist with a great fan base on social media, and the video itself it’s very attractive. We’ve got Zinhle and Priddy Ugly who also have a great fan base on social media and we thank everyone for supporting us,” LaSauce said.
