In her latest Twitter post, Lerato Sengadi revealed how she was being taken to court by her late husband’s family.
“On the 6th of March 2020 I am being taken to the Supreme Court of Appeals of the Republic of South Africa by my late husband’s family. #IWillNotCower,” she wrote before also sharing how she hadn’t been awarded anything from her husband’s estate.
“As it stands NOTHING that was awarded 2 me in my previous High Court win was handed over. Hopefully after Friday this messy ordeal will be over. #IWillNotCower,” she continued.
According to IOL, Robert Tsambo, HHP’s father, is appealing “whether a valid customary marriage was concluded” between Lerato and the late rapper. The family is also appealing whether the handing over of the bride was a requirement for a valid customary marriage between the two.
This appeal comes after Lerato was lawfully named HHP’s the customary wife in 2018, when his family refused to recognise her as their daughter-in-law.

Speaking to DRUM, the Tsambo family spokesperson, Nkululeko Ncana said that the family believed that a judge from a different court would deliver justice.
“Firstly, it is nonsensical and absurd to suggest that anyone is being taken to the SCA. It is important that we familiarise ourselves with due process in order to state things as they are. The facts are here under:The Tsambo family was granted leave to appeal Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng’s ruling in 2018 at the South Gauteng high court,” he said
“We have exercised this right in law because we believe the honourable judge erred in his ruling and that a different court may look at the facts in hand and find differently. We have full confidence that the SCA will deliver justice.”
The publicist, who has never been one to back down, has assured her followers and those supporting her that she would be strong during this time.
“Always Sis. #IWillNotCower,” she responded to a tweep who told her to remain strong.
