Record label Mabala Noise Entertainment is in the news again – for all the wrong reasons.

The label made headlines in July when they fired Mhlo Gumede for allegedly embezzling money from the company, and now it seems their name is being smeared by a scam.

The label recently shared a picture on social media of a poster claiming to be from Mabala Noise offering up-and-coming artist recording deals at a price. But Mabla Noise say the poster is a scam and that they would not be liable for any money lost should anyone fall for it. “We do not negotiate recording deals with artists via WhatsApp and we certainly do not take money from our potential artists. We will not be held liable for any loss of money as a result of this scam. Be advised to stay away,” the post read.
