Minnie Dlamini shares her terrible encounter with a journalist following her brother’s passing

Media personality Minnie Dlamini-Jones recently lost her younger brother after he suffered a ruptured brain aneurysm earlier this month.The presenter then went back on her TV show ‘Home ground’ barely weeks after losing her brother and as expected, this was very difficult for her.

Taking to her Twitter page, she explained a terrible encounter she had at the first event she attended since his passing.

“I went to an event last night & someone asked me how I'm doing, I answer honestly that I'm ready for the year to be over, I'm not ok just keeping up appearances mate to mate. 5 mins later he comes back & says are you sure you want that to be your quote on your brother's passing,” she tweeted.

Mrs Jones said that she understands that journalists are doing their job by asking but it’s still too soon and as much as she shows up for work, she is still hurting.

“I get it journalists have a job to do but it's my first time out since his passing, I don't want to talk about it but also it's too soon My job is to #ShowUp and I will but I'm still hurting,” she tweeted.

The presenter thanked everyone who supported her during this time.

“To everyone that has been in my corner supporting me thank you. The calls, the messages, the prayers and the visits I appreciate my tribe. This moment has shown me how much love surrounds me and I can't thank God enough for all of you. Ngiyabonga,” she added.
