Moshe Ndiki has quickly become one of
Mzansi’s favourite entertainers, after his funny videos trended on social media
and YouTube – people love him!
However, the 31-year-old upset Twitter
recently when he posted throwback pictures of himself while going through a
cultural phase that every boy in the Xhosa culture goes through before ‘becoming
a man’, “Ukwaluka” (Initiation school).
This is not the first time South Africa has
had uproar about initiation school issues, some people belonging to the Xhosa
tribe feel such issues are not to be made public as they are sacred traditions.
The recent film, Inxeba (The Wound), which
the ‘The Queen’ actor referenced in his caption, created a heated
debate in the country around the entire traditional circumcision. However,
the film’s co-producer, Batana Vundla, maintained that no cultural secrets were
