Mzansi stars speak out on Libyan slave trade

South African celebrities are uniting to speak out on the shocking revelation of slave trade in Libya. According to Time, a video of men appearing to be sold at auction shocked the world. The men were being sold for $400 (R5 400), according to Fortune.

Al Jazeera also reports that hundreds of African refugees are being bought and sold in slave markets weekly.

The news sent shockwaves through SA too and the likes of Pearl Thusi and Boity Thulo took to social media to add their voices to the news.
