Cape Town - Nasty C – real name David Junior Ngcobo – might have to change his stage name after he was reportedly served a cease and desist letter by legal representatives of his former management, Freeworld Music.
Freeworld Music, which represented Nasty C while he was still with his former record label Mabala Noise, said even after having served Nasty C with the letter, he continued to use the name constituting a breach of agreement.
Following the news, Nasty C posted a cryptic tweet on his Twitter page.
"Got a lotta enemies. Comes with the territory. No coincidence that this happens after such a great run" he said in one tweet.
"It hurts you to see me win. And I like that sh*t” he continued in another.
Twitter users then began suggesting names he could use instead of Nasty C to the rapper.
Fans however pledged their allegiance to brand Nasty C and came up with such quirky suggestions which the rapper could go by.
Various attempts by Drum to get ahold of Nasty C were not successful at the time of publishing.
