Cape Town - US rapper, Nicki Minaj recently revealed that she and her boyfriend, Kenneth Petty were getting ready to get married.
According to Cosmopolitan, the 36-year-old revealed the news during her latest episode of Queen Radio where she said that they had obtained a marriage license.
"We did get our marriage license," she said before saying she was at her happiest.
"I think I have what I was striving for, just happiness. It was so hard to get to a happy place. Now that I’m there, I don’t want to compromise that for anyone or anything."
It is not the first time that the couple has hinted at wedding bells, in March the couple sparked wedding rumours after Nicki referred to her boyfriend as "my husband" during an episode of Queen, US Weekly reports.
After going public with their relationship in December 2018, the rapper received criticism for dating a convicted sex offender but came to his defence by telling critics "ya’ll can’t run my life" and alleging that he didn’t rape the teenager as they were in a relationship at the time.
"He was 15, she was 16 ... in a relationship. But go awf, internet. y'all can't run my life. Y'all can't even run y'all own life. Thank you boo," she wrote on Instagram.
