Cape Town - Pearl Modiadie’s talk show Zaziwa is reportedly being cancelled by SABC 1.

The show, which pulled millions of viewers for the channel has been running for over seven years.

Reports of the show being cancelled was spread on Twitter and Pearl retweeted on of the tweets and expressed her sadness that she did not know her show had been cancelled.

Multiple attempts by Move! to get comment from the SABC were not successful at the time of publishing.

This is not the first time the SABC has messed with the talk show. In February 2017 the SABC pulled Zaziwa from the schedule and transplanted it to Sunday nights at 20:30 – a lifestyle television "death slot" where, as predicted, viewers abandoned the show by the millions.

Later that year SABC 1 decided to remove the show from the schedule entirely to make space for a rerun of Shaka Zulu.

In November 2017, the show was finally put back on air in its original weekday slot.

Although the reports have not yet been confirmed, fans of the show expressed their outrage at the show possibly being put off air.
