Cape Town 0 TV host Pearl Thusi received Twitter backlash yet again, this time for her interview with Kelly Khumalo on BET’s Behind The Story.
Social media users immediately called out the host and commented on how she did not ask appropriate questions to Kelly Khumalo.
On Wednesday, Pearl’s interview questions were centred around Kelly’s career, rumours and her late boyfriend Senzo Meyiwa.
However, the viewers felt that Pearl failed to ask pressing questions about Senzo Meyiwa’s death thus not getting Kelly Khumalo to say her side of the story.
Twitter users dragged Pearl’s interviewing skills and with some even saying that "Pearl can’t keep up with smart guests."
Even though Pearl took no time to respond to some trolls by saying that the show was not a "tabloid fest" and she will not "ambush guests," this was not the first time she received criticism on her interviews with celebs.
Pearl also added that she will use all the constructive criticism.
Pearl was also heavily criticised by veteran broadcaster Redi Tlabi who said that "she failed to ask tough questions" during her interview with rapper AKA.
Redi ended her tweet by saying: "No need to giggle your way around harmful answers."
