Shauwn Mkhize exposes fake account claiming she is giving away R250 000 to aspiring business owners: “My family and I have nothing to do with this”

A fake Twitter account claiming to be that of businesswoman and reality TV star, Shauwn Mkhize had Twitter users abuzz on Friday after tweeting that Shawn will be giving away R250 000 to aspiring business owners.

The fake tweet which garnered a staggering 8.9k likes, 6.9k retweets and 4.4k responses, was supposedly meant as Mkhize’s token of appreciation to her followers in celebration of her new reality show.

The fake account promised five of Mkhize’s followers a sum off R50 000 on condition that they follow the account, retweet the tweet and comment on what kind of business they would start with that money.

“Thank You Mzansi for making #KwaMamMkhize the BEST shows on @Mzansimagic. To show my gratitude, I'm giving away R50 000 to 5 lucky people. Rules: 1. Follow me 2. Retweet this 3. Comment and tell me what business you would start with R50 000? Winners will be randomly selected.” The tweet read.
