A year ago actress Dineo Moeketsi and rapper Solo Langa tied the knot after dating for more than seven years. The pair gave fans a front-row seat to their wedding in three-part TV special Kwakuhle Kwethu on One Magic, which captured the celebration of their union.

And it was in that show that we were given a glimpse at the couple’s beliefs and how important spirituality is to them.
Now, in their latest vlog, the coupled share more about what their calling means to them.

In the video, the pair explain how they got along “too perfectly” from the start.
“Our conversations were so easy and effortless,” Dineo said. However, even though they gelled from the beginning, at the time they didn’t know they both had spiritual callings.
The couple revealed they later accepted their ancestral callings as sangomas.
“Those things came with time,” she says. “The kind of level that we were relating on allowed us to understand that we are open to those doors, in terms of going through this journey as a couple.”

Solo revealed that accepting his spiritual calling was a difficult decision, but from a young age he'd always known that he was gifted. But because he was young, he didn’t really understand what it meant at that time, and only as a young adult did it make sense. Then certain things in his life made him curious and he wanted to explore his gift more.
“We are trained healers,” Solo said. “In the beginning, eight years ago, it was kind of a concept of spirituality, being spiritual people and that evolved into and directed itself into ubungoma.”
Dineo shared that when she found out she had the calling, she’d gone to consult a sangoma about a totally different issue.

"For me, I had gone to check something totally separate. While that was addressed, then came this very heavy block of, 'Hey, you are gifted - fanele uyothwasa'. My mind went spinning because I was like, 'What do you mean? It couldn't be. I don't know if this is a thing for me,” she said.
"It took such a long time for me to accept it because there's you finding out, and then there's you accepting it,” she explained.
Dineo said she was grateful to have Solo by her side because not only was he supportive, but he also understood spiritual issues enough to help keep her grounded. “Had I not had you by my side, I would have thought I’m going crazy for sure,” Dineo said.
The couple also shared that they went through the process of initiation together and are very grateful they had each other to walk this journey with.
"We are black love, rooted in black spirituality. For me, when people say, ‘Oh my God, you guys are so lucky’, I think it’s through the guidance of our ancestors,” Dineo said.
