The real reason behind Bow Wow’s “suicide” tweet. | Drum

Bow Wow has been quite strange on Twitter lately. According to bet.com, the rapper had fans concerned when he tweeted “EDICIUS” on Sunday.

The 31-year-old got Twitter users around the world worried as the words spelled suicide backwards.

Fans were quick to tweet suicide hotlines to the rapper, whilst others couldn’t figure out whether he was joking amidst April fools pranks.

But as social media soon decoded, the spelling is the exact opposite of what fans feared Bow might have been trying to tell us, and portrays what he has confirmed will be the title of his next album.

The rapper later explained in a tweet that Edicius was the name of his new album. “Decided to name my album “EDICIUS” its SUICIDE backwards... the meaning means ... To bring yourself back from something. The name represents relentlessness, coming back for more even after death. Left the old me and woke up a NEW ME,” he tweeted.

The rapper also recently shone a light into the state of his mental health, captioning an Instagram post, “Sometimes I REALLY wish I never existed... I can never do SH** RIGHT EVEN WHEN I’M DOING RIGHT! I’m better off ....” – no wonder his fans got a little concerned by his SUICIDE tweet!
