Cape Town - The Roast of Somizi might just be the most anticipated Comedy Central roast since that of self-proclaimed “Queen of Bling”, Khanyi Mbau, back in 2015.
The show – which is set to air Monday 7 May on Comedy Central (DStv 122) – recently revealed that DJ Fresh and actress Nomzamo Mbatha will be part of the panel. And the list of panellists just keeps on getting better.
Comedy Central announced that the next person to join the panel is none other than former minister of police Fikile Mbalula.
For many, this seemed like a good choice since “Mr Fearfokkol” is known for his savage clapbacks and spicy twitter posts – and it seems the ANC chairperson of elections is just as excited about the roast as we are.
“Middle name is ever-ready. Siyabangena,” Mbalula replied to a tweet that asked whether he was ready for the Roast.
The former minister also issued a warning to Somgaga by saying he already feels sorry for him.
“Wuuuuuuuuuu SHEEEEM ngiyakuzwela (I feel sorry for you) @somizi” he tweeted.
Mbaweezy will be joining other panellists, including Ntsiki Mazwai, Schalk Bezuidenhout and Skhumba, and roast master Gareth Cliff.
