Tweeps may be happy for Babes Wodumo’s feature on the Black Panther album but the definitely not too excited about her lyrics.

Excitement was the order of the week when the track list of the Black Panther Album included South African musicians such as Gqom sensation Babes Wodumo. A week later, the album was finally released and tweeps weren’t happy.

According to Billboard ‘Black Panther: The Album’ which was curated by Kendrick Lamar and his label head Anthony Tiffith, was released on Thursday night.

When South Africans finally got their hands on the album on Friday morning, they were met with disappointment as soon as they listened to the song titled ‘Redemption’ by US singer Zacari and Babes Wodumo.

While some say they were disappointed over Babes’ lyrics (or lack thereof) in the verse, some were annoyed to hear Mampintsha’s voice on the track, despite him not being credited on the song. This raised some questions among twitter users as they wondered if ‘Babes Wodumo’ was actually a duo consisting of Mampintsha and Bongekile Simelane (Babes).
