J. Cole was not playing games with his most recent album, K.O.D.

The 33-year-old rapper released his latest body of work last week and explained it’s meaning in Tweets. Explaining ‘Kill Our Demons’, J Cole wrote: “That's the end goal, to face our sh**, realize that we have some sh** going on inside. Everybody... because nobody's f**ing perfect,” he explained.

And in the music video for the song “Kevin’s Heart,” he addresses just that.

The video shows American comedian Kevin Hart trying to buy groceries at a supermarket but not being able to do it comfortably as everyone stares at him, while J Cole raps the lyrics, “I love her; I don't want to lose her. I'm selfish; I know that I use her. My ego get stroked and I bruise her”.

This refers to when the comedian and actor cheated on his pregnant wife, Eniko Hart, last year. On a radio breakfast show, Kevin said he apologised to his wife and hopes she could forgive him, reports CNN.

"I'm guilty, regardless of how it happened and what was involved. That's Kevin Hart in his dumbest moment. That's not the finest hour of my life. With that being said, you make your bed, you lay in it. I'm hoping that she [Eniko] has a heart to where she can forgive me and understand that this is not going to be a reoccurring thing and allow me to recover from my f***ing massive mistake,” he said.

Kevin also said he needs to own up to his mistakes as a man to set a good example to his sons:

“That's what I'm trying to do not only as a man, but within teaching a lesson to my son. If you do something wrong, stand in front of your wrong s**t, don't run away from it.”

He definitely isn’t running away from the subject, instead he’s facing it head-on through starring in the music video and his Irresponsible Tour where he talks about being irresponsible in the best way he knows how – the funny way, in true Kevin Hart style!
