Explaining the many realities of life to a child can be quite challenging, which is why reality TV star Kim Kardashian has no clue on how she’ll explain death to her five-year-old daughter, North West.
According to E!, in the latest episode of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, North West’s pet hamster, Blacktail West dies – leaving Kim with the huge responsibility of breaking the news to her daughter who had grown fond of the pet.
The beauty mogul first heard the tragic news while having a telephonic conversation with her sister Khloe, who happened to be the one who got North West the hamster.
“Kim. The hamster hasn’t been moving,” Kim’s assistant Michael says in the clip.
“So, you might want to go look at it.”
An irritated but nervous Kim asks whether it’s dead before getting up to go look at the animal.
“I don’t have time for a dead hamster. Maybe he’s sleeping,” she says after inspecting the animal.
Shortly afterwards, she discovers that the pet is actually dead and worries about how she’ll explain the tragedy to North, who is still at school at the time.
“I don’t know how I’m going to say, ‘By the way, your hamster died. This is like the first time she’s, like, really, really, really loved an animal more than her dog. She’s still into it. And I don’t know what to do,” Kim says before snapping at Khloe for getting North the pet.
“This is why you don’t get someone a pet. Don’t ever do this to me again. I literally hate you,” she says to Khloe who jokingly brushes it off.
According to US weekly, in a past episode of the reality show, Kim was not happy with the purchase of the hamster by Khloe which she said “was not cool.”
