Isibaya actress Ayanda Borotho has decided to postpone her motivational talk event Unbecoming To Become named after her bestselling memoir.

The event was set to take place in May, but the actress says she had to make the hard decision in light of the Covid-19 (coronavirus) pandemic.

She says this is for the safety of everyone and those who have purchased their tickets can claim their full refund.

“This has been the hardest decision I've had to make but we cannot continue planning for this event in the dark. We are obliged to take the necessary precautions as government instructs,” she says.

“What this book has been able to do for ordinary women like you and me is beyond my wildest dreams. I didn't have fancy launches or powerful connections. All I had was my truth. All I had was ME. In all my authenticity. I never departed from who I am. It is what I believed the world needed, me and my truth... truthfully. I never set out to write a book. I set out to speak my truth. A truth that would liberate both you and I. And as my friend @nobuntusa said to me "You are enough. You are excatly what the world needs." Stay true to you. Honour your purpose and your purpose will honour you [sic],” she said when her book became the number bestseller last year.
