Actor and former reality TV star Clayton Misoya is back on our screens. The actor made his comeback on one of South Africa’s favourite soapies, Skeem Skaam.

He is playing Levison Mkandawire who is friends with Marothi Maphuthuma (Macks Papo). The show’s publicist, Sumaya Mogola, was cagey about dishing the information on the Levison’s storyline.

“Supposedly one of Marothi’s closest and trusted friends, Levison Mkandawire. From what we can tell, Levison seems to know a lot about Marothi along with his past mistakes. Mistakes that could put Marothi behind bars for good!” read the show’s character profile. “Will Levison keep Marothi’s skeletons in the closet, or will it all come tumbling out?”

It looks like we might have the answer to that without spoiling it for die-hard fans. Sumaya did give us a clue as to what will transpire between the two guys.

“He is friends with Marothi. But he will share information that will upset Marothi and [they] might become frenemies. I can’t say much because I will be revealing a lot,” she says.

“We shoot months in advance and Clayton joined us two months ago and appeared on our screens last night (Tuesday 21 May),” she shared. Sumaya was reluctant to share how long the actor will be part of the show but promised that he will shake things up.

“He’ll be on our screens for a few weeks,” she said.

Originally from Cape Town, Clayton started his career as a dancer, getting a Diploma in Dance from New Africa Theatre. In 2011 he was a housemate on Big Brother Amplified, but back then he was known as Luclay.
