Idols SA’s winner Yanga Sobetwa has poured cold water on reports that she is starting her own record label.

This comes after the singer posted a picture on her Instagram written “Yanga Sobetwa Music”. Her fans jumped to the conclusion that the Promised Land singer means business.

Her representative from her current record label Gallo Record Company confirmed to Move! that the report is totally untrue.

“This is to confirm that Yanga Sobetwa has not started a record label,” Gallo Product Manager Caroline Morabe said.

However, this doesn’t mean the young lady has no plans to do so, just not now. If Caroline’s words are anything to go by, then Yanga’s fans can remain hopeful that she will one day look to sign some artists.

“She is looking at having a company in future but currently she does not own a label,” Caroline explained.
