Speaking to DRUM Tira said he came up with this initiative because during the December holidays a lot of bad things happen such as road accidents and violence when people are intoxicated.

“As an individual I like helping the community so I just woke up one day and decided to post about this #SafeDecemberPrayer because there is a lot that we need to pray for, especially since we are also in the 16 days of activism against women and children. I strongly believe we need to pray for safety as well as the wellbeing of our women and children.”

“As much as we are excited about the upcoming holidays and the fun that it brings, we need to pray even harder as a country so that we are able to fight the evil spirits that come with the festive season.”

The DJ said he hopes that people will come in numbers for the payer session which will feature artists such as Hlengiwe Mhlaba, Dumi Mkokstad, Thinah Zungu, Mondli Ngcobo, Qwabe Twinz, Joocy and Mduduzi.
