Gospel star Hlengiwe Mhlaba is now up on her feet after surviving a car accident in northern KwaZulu Natal last month while she was travelling to Mpumalanga with her keyboard player for a series of gigs, her manager, Mxolisi Mhlongo, confirms.
Mxolisi tells Move! that the muso is already back on stage and even though she’s not fully recovered, she is doing well.
“She is fine and already performing. She is still going for check-ups in the hospital because she had internal injuries that have to be monitored,” he says.

Mxolisi says this accident was another testimony that God has been good to the star for sparing the lives of those who were involved.
And because the multi-award-winning star has lived to tell the tale, he hints that they might tell it in a song.

“It’s [the accident] been a reminder that God has been good in her life. She might compose a song about this incident to thank God,” he reveals.
However, fans will have to wait for that song until next year, he quickly points out.
