KZN rapper Sphamandla Mbabo, better known as Duncan Skuva, kicked off his year on a sad note.

He recently posted that he and his former manager and business partner, DJ Ngane Sikobi parted ways at the end of last year due to irreparable differences.

Duncan also cancelled the partnership with Ngane’s record company, Sphethu and will now only be working with Afrotainment.

The Mi Thatharapper accused his former manager of taking over his Facebook account and asking for R90k in return after the fallout.

Duncan tells Move! that Ngane has been taking bookings under the presence that they are still working together.

“He kicked me out of the Facebook page and I only realised later in 2019,” says Duncan.

“He then continued to take bookings on my behalf and requesting promoters to send him the deposit money. That is theft.”

Duncan goes on to say that he reported the matter to Facebook but he has not yet been able to retrieve his page.

“You know Facebook takes forever to attend queries. I am avoiding going to open a case with the police. I just want my account back and we can go our separate ways,” he adds.

Ngane does not deny taking over the page on Facebook and says he will not be returning it.

“It was a fan page and not an account. Duncan has his personal account,” he tells Move!.

“I created the fan page and I had every right to deactivate it. It was a company fan page that I used to promote his work. I put time and money on the page getting him fans and boosting some posts using my money. So when we stopped working together; I deactivated it. He can create his own fan page.”

Ngane also denies asking Duncan for R90k for the page.

“He doesn’t have R90 000, why would I ask him for money he doesn’t have,” he says.

“Duncan must stop playing games on social media, he is an old man now. He just needs to get into the studio and make a killer hit. It’s 2020, he needs to focus or he will blink and it will be November if he wastes his energy on negativity. I wish him all the best,” Ngane adds.
