The queen of XiTsonga rap Sho Madjozi’s star is shinning brighter. After winning the BET award for the Best International Act at this year’s BET awards, the muso has bagged another win.
Upon her return home, she didn’t just receive a warm welcome from adoring friends and government officials but she was also named an ambassador for Brand South Africa’s community upliftment initiative called Play Your Part.

“We are also delighted to onboard Sho Madjozi as a #PlayYourPart ambassador, for continuously flying the South African flag high. #BETAwards2019,” the organisation announced on their Instagram page.
They also shared the news on their Twitter page.

Brand South Africa’s General Manager for Communications Thoko Modise said that Sho Madjozi is a perfect fit for being their ambassador.
“SA is well known for a whole lot of things around the world. Madiba used Rugby to unite people. One of the things we use to drive patriotism is arts and sport but anyone from any sector can qualify. Because she is an artist and has won the BET we thought she was playing her part,” she said.
She also added that anyone who makes a difference in their community or put South Africa in the global stage is eligible.
“It’s [Play Your Part initiative] supposed to acknowledged people who make difference in other people’s live. It could be a young school girl or an old nurse. Anyone can be a Play Your Part ambassador as long as they make a difference in their community,” she explained.
