The Department of
Sport, Arts and Culture Limpopo has come forward in regard to allegations that MEC
Thandi Moraka kicked XiTsonga musician Dr Thomas Chauke off stage
mid-performance at the Annual Mapungubwe Arts and Cultural Music at the

Thandi Moraka personally grabbed the microphone away from XiTsonga music legend
during his performance for unknown reasons.
The department shifted
the blame of what transpired on the stage managers.
“The department would
like to apologize to Dr Thomas Hasani Chauke for the way he was treated on
stage by the stage managers. There was a crossover item which was planned prior
and that’s what led to this unfortunate incident involving Dr Thomas Hasani
Chauke,” they wrote.
They further added
that The MEC met with Dr Thomas off stage after the unfortunate incident on the
night and apologised with the manner in which he was treated on stage by the
