Cape Town - Idols SA contestants Viggy and Virginia, best known as the Qwabe twins have been fan favourites this season.

The pair has managed to sing their way into musician Zahara’s heart as well. Zahara is such a fan of the twins that she’s willing to put her star power behind them should they not make it as winners.

Taking to her Instagram page, the 30-year-old singer posted a picture of her with the Idols SA contestants and shared that they opened for her almost two years ago.

"If you guys don’t win at idols I’m here I will help you to tell your story," Zahara promised.

In a recent interview with DRUM the twins spoke about the social media hate they’ve received because of their looks.

They were teased and called ugly in a message that recently did the rounds on social media, but they’re not letting the hate get to them.

"I’ve never seen a talented person not make it on Idols because they were called ugly. Talent counts – beauty can be bought,” Virginia told DRUM.

Viggy agrees, "Beauty’s in the eye of the beholder. If you can’t see beauty in someone, it means there’s something missing inside of you.

"At home, our parents, family community give us all the love we need, and we have enough to share it with people who are unhappy."

Tune into Idols SA Sundays at 17:00 on Mzansi Magic (DStv 161).
