WATCH: Miss Thailand wins Miss International 2019 crown

Johannesburg – Thailand has taken home the title of Miss International 2019.  

The pageant, which is in its 58th year, was live-streamed across the world on Tuesday and saw 82 contestants from around the globe take part.

The three-hour show ended with Thailand's Sireethorn Leearamwat being crowned the new Miss international.

According to the Miss International organisation, this is the first time that Thailand has won the Miss International Crown. "History was made!" the post reads.

The rest of the top five included Miss Mexico, Miss Uganda, Miss Colombia and Miss United Kingdom, in that order.

Miss International forms part of the "Big Four" pageants which includes Miss Universe, Miss World and Miss Earth.

While a new Miss Earth has been crowned, The Miss Universe and Miss World pageants will take place in December.
