Cape Town- Social media has become a great way of getting your work recognised by celebrities.
A Bostwana based painter recently posted his gorgeous oil painting of actress Pearl Thusi and not only did she retweet his work, she also asked to buy it from him.
Phindile Magosi, who wrote that he is a self-taught painter on his profile, tweeted a before and after comparison of his work which was based off a picture of the Behind the Story presenter.
"Completed oil painting of @PearlThusi vs when I began the painting…" he wrote on Tuesday morning.
Pearl then retweeted, almost immediately, and asked to buy the painting from him.
The artist has other amazing works on his Twitter page that include portraits of international stars such as Morgan Freeman and Suicide Squad character Harley Quinn.
Pearl’s retweet sent Twitter users into a frenzy with many commending Phindile’s work.
