Akhumzi Jezile Foundation announces first beneficiaries for new campaign

Johannesburg – It's been nearly two years since TV star Akhumzi Jezile died in a tragic car accident

Since then, the star's friends and family have made sure that his legacy lives on through the Akhumzi Jezile Foundation.

In early January, the foundation announced that it would be assisting scholars with getting their drivers licenses.

"Having a driver's license is no longer a 'nice to have', it's actually become something that you have to have because a lot of employers are looking for that special skill," Dr Musa Mthombeni, a close friend of Akhumzi's, said in a clip posted on social media.

On Tuesday, the first beneficiaries of the foundation were announced.
