Cape Town - Amor Vittone and her family are doing well following a cancer scare.

TV personality Amor Vittone and her family recently received terrible news when her brother-in-law, Mike, was diagnosed with Lymphoma.

Amor told Huisgenoot that a couple of weeks ago, her father started to experience stomach cramps. Following her brother-in-law's recent diagnosis, she was worried. She told the lifestyle publication that her mother had to beg her father to see a doctor, "because men don't like it."

According to Huisgenoot, the doctor recommended a biopsy and explained to the family that it might be cancer. They waited five days for the results.

"Pa, thinking of you today, undergoing tests! Pa, you are our family's rock and inspiration and I know that your angels will be right next to you. We love you to the moon and back," she wrote on Facebook.

The family received news that her father is cancer free on Tuesday evening, Huisgenoot reported. "The doctor said that my father is one of the strongest and fittest 75-year-olds that he knows."

Amor is really sad for her father now that his second son-in-law is sick. Amor's ex-husband Joost van der Westhuizen was diagnosed with MND in 2011 and now her brother-in-law is battling lymphoma.
