Avengers star Anthony Mackie added to 2019 Comic Con Africa line-up

Johannesburg – After having to cancel his trip to Comic Con in 2018, Avengers star Anthony Mackie has now been added to the list of international celebs who will attend the second annual Comic Con Africa in September 2019. 

The actor, who takes on the role of Falcon in the Marvel Universe, will be at the comic book festival on both Saturday 21 September and Sunday 22 September. 

"Anthony was bitterly disappointed that he couldn't make last year's event and is looking forward to being able to meet the fans in 2019. Better late than never!" a press statement reads. 

The outcome for the first Comic Con Africa was so huge that event organisers decided to add an extra day for the 2019 edition of the festival, making it four days long, from 21 to 24 September.

This time the venue will be the Gallagher Convention Centre.
