Actress Bahumi Madisakwane revealed that she suffers from lymphoedema – swelling in an arm or a leg caused by a lymphatic system blockage – in a 2017 episode of her father’s reality TV show, Living the Dream with Somizi.

In the episode, Somizi bought a pair of Louis Vuitton pumps for her birthday, stating that her feet are not the same size.

Now, the 23-year-old is confident enough to share her journey on social media. She recently posted a picture of her swollen, uneven legs.

The condition has not stopped her from embracing and loving herself, though. She captioned the image: "Being herself was her truest form of worship. X4."

According to MedlinePlus, lymphoedema is the name of a type of swelling.

"It happens when lymph builds up in your body's soft tissues. Lymph is a fluid that contains white blood cells that defend against germs. It can build up when the lymph system is damaged or blocked. It usually happens in the arms or legs."
