Johannesburg – Swimsuit season is almost here, so if you’re looking for the perfect outfit to rock on your summer vacay, Omuhle Gela may just have the answer for you.
The actress, who launched her swimwear line, Twenty Swimwear, in 2014, is back with a few fresh pieces to add to the collection.
Speaking to The Juice on the set of her swimwear shoot, Omulhe gave us all the deets on her new collection. Here’s all you need to know about Twenty Swimwear.
1. Where it all started
Explaining why she decided to start her own swimwear range, the actress says her struggle with finding the perfect costume was where it all began.
"I have a small frame, but I’m very curvy. So I used to struggle to get something that fits the top and the bottom, or something that fits me perfectly. So I did a little survey and I found out that there are a lot of people with the same problem."
2. The perfect fit
The purpose of this range was to provide women with a swimsuit that hugs their curves perfectly. Omuhle highlights this as one of the things that sets the line apart, saying that “It fits everyone perfectly”.
3. From scratch
Every swimsuit is designed by Omuhle herself. “What makes it different is the fact that it is 100 percent sketched by me,” she tells us.
4. Local is lekker
Keeping it local, the range is in made right here in South Africa.
5. Favourite
Just like a loving mom, Omuhle cannot pick a favourite among her range, although she says she does love a good one-piece.
“I like all of them. But I’m into the one-piece. It’s very comfortable and it caresses your body very nicely.”
