Black Coffee talks missing out on working with Rihanna

Cape Town - During an interview with Mo G on Metro FM, DJ Black Coffee spoke about working with American recording artist Cassie and missing out on the opportunity to work with Barbadian singer, Rihanna.

The world renowned DJ is currently working with Cassie on a track, and will be going into studio next week in LA.

The DJ explained that while working with Cassie, he was approached by A&R executive Omar Grant to work on a song for Rihanna. "I sent him a couple of songs," he said.

He then received a text message from Omar saying: "I heard the song you're doing for Cassie, is she using that? Because Rihanna wants that one."

Not one to go back on his word, a crushed Black Coffee thought to himself: "I can't give her that one. There goes my opportunity to be on Rihanna's album."

But he adds that both artists are talented, and he is equally as exciting to work on Cassie's album.
