Bonang says this is 'definitely the final season of Being Bonang' – and fans are devastated

Cape Town - Just after three successful seasons, media personality Bonang Matheba will no longer continue with her reality TV show, Being Bonang.

Bonang took to social media to reveal that the current season of her reality show playing on 1Magic is her last. She didn’t explain her reasons and this left her fans devastated.

"Definitely the final season of Being Bonang," she tweeted.

After the success of her first season, Bonang told her fans that there won’t be a second season. However, due to popular demand she reconsidered and shot the second season.

"My brand has got to a point where it is able to support itself. My work doesn't allow me to be at home all the time, I am hardly ever at home but somehow I still have an impact and relevance," she told TshisaLive.

Over the seasons viewers got to see Bonang building her empire, travelling, falling in and out of love and writing a book. Viewers are still hoping to see her new man in this season. She is allegedly dating 27-year-old Albanian businessman and former football star Fatmir Hysenbelliu. Even though she’s been dropping hints about her love life, Bonang has not denied nor confirmed the speculation.

"Season three has a lot of Bonang the business and a lot of my international work. So you’re going to see my friends in Nigeria, I’m going to London and Los Angeles, you get to see my life there. I’m moving to a new apartment in New York so that’s going to be fun. I get to do a lot of red-carpet events in America, so it’s jam packed," she told The Juice.
