Bonang to co-host alongside Oprah and Naomi Campbell

Cape Town - Local TV personality Bonang Matheba has been announced as one of the hosts of the Global Citizen Festival, alongside Oprah Winfrey, Naomi Campbell, Gayle King, Bob Geldof, Tyler Perry and Forest Whitaker.

It was announced on Monday that Beyoncé and Jay-Z will headline the first Global Citizen Festival to be held in Africa. (Here's everything you need to know about the concert) 

The free-ticketed event will take place on Sunday, 2 December 2018 at the FNB Stadium in Johannesburg.   

Other acts slated to perform are Cassper Nyovest, D'banj, Ed Sheeran, Eddie Vedder, Femi Kuti, Pharrell Williams & Chris Martin, Sho Madjozi, Tiwa Savage, Usher and Wizkid.

Following the announcement, Bonang shared on Twitter: "Yay!! I can finally share the good news!!!"

She also wrote that she couldn't wait.
