Bonang's film premiered at Manchester Film Festival and people 'loved it'

Johannesburg – Bonang Matheba's very first movie, Public Figure, made it's debut at the Manchester Film Festival on Saturday.

The star rejoiced with a social media post, saying that festival goers "loved it".

"Miss Film Producer to you, darling!! We did it!! Our first Film just premiered at the Manchester Film Festival.... aaaaannnd, they LOVED IT!!!" Bonang wrote.

In January the star told The Juice about the documentary which she both starred in and produced.

"It's a documentary about the pros and cons of social media and the addiction, and how people have either started lives, jobs and new careers on social media, but also the negative impacts that social media has," she explained.

The fifth edition of the festival took place from 2 to 10 March 2019, with over 150 films screened at the event.

Fans who plan on watching the Bonang's doccie can look forward to chats with Denzel Washington and other celebrities as well as influencers from around the world.
