Johannesburg – Rapper Cassper Nyovest was not always the big star he is today.
On Thursday the muso, who's Sweet and Short album went platinum in just one day in 2018, reflected on a time when he was "broke as hell" and "depressed," encouraging fans not to give up on their dreams.
"I was broke as hell and depressed 5 years ago. My debut album dropped just 5 years go. Today I am seen as an inspiration to all my kinds of people. Black, white, young and old. I appreciate my life so much. Crazy what God can do in your life in just 5 years. Please don't give up [sic]," he tweeted.
Since then Cassper has released four albums and managed to take his #FillUp concert to four different stadiums.
The star's tweet was met with many positive reactions by fans on the social media site.
