Celebs react to #LocalMusic

Cape Town - Celebville had a lot to say about the news that the SABC has decided to change its quota of local music from 60% to 90%.

On Thursday the SABC announced that it will play 90% local music across its 18 radio stations from Thursday, May 12.

And of course, the news received an overwhelmingly positive response on social media. But not without ruffling some feather….

AKA called the news the “Greatest victory in the history of South African music industry.”

But in true AKA style, there had to be some sort of controversy, when the rapper called out the Beyhive (again).

The news got K.O's tweet of approval.

Local music for the win!

We agree with Reason, we can’t wait to see what this means for local music.
