Celebs remember Lebo Mathosa

Johannesburg – It’s hard to believe that it’s already been a decade since musical legend, Lebo Mathosa, passed away.

10 years after the stars passing, she still continues to make an impact on the lives of those who knew her, and loved her music.

Taking to Instagram, DJ Fresh shared his fondest memories of Lebo, describing the first time he met her and the last memory he has of her. “My last memory of her is how she was fierce AF on stage, yet so humble off stage!!” he recalled.

Still surreal that #LeboMathosa has been gone ten years now!! First time I met her was in 1995 at an event in #Gaborone! Boom Shaka were finding their footing and honing their stage act. She came to me and told me how the promoter had not brought their drinks yet: "Abuti Fresh, please can you arrange us some soft drinks"! Interviewed her on YFM in 1998/99 and again 2003/4, where this picture was taken! My lasting memory of her is how she was fierce AF on stage, yet so humble off stage!! #RipLebo

TV personalities Pabi Moloi and Peter Ndoro also took their time to remember the star.
