Mpho Maboi’s new sports show on Metro FM

On Monday the station announced its replacement for Robert Marawa’s Sport@6 show. Sports anchor Udo Carelse  and Mpho Maboi will take over the slot on a new programmed called The Ultimate Sport Show. Udo will host the show on Monday – Wednesday and on Fridays again while Mpho will host the show on Thursdays.

Titled Becoming Mrs Jones and set to hit the screen next month on Vuzu Amp, the show will see Minnie giving fans an exclusive insight into the journey of getting ready to marry Quinton Jones. The couple recently had their traditional wedding and it’s alleged the white wedding will be held on 16 September.

Nandi Madida to host Afropunk Brooklyn music festival

Just recently she was announced as the new face of Lux soap brand and now she’s signed up for a new gig. The TV personality took to Instagram to announce her new job. The caption for her post reads: “I am both ecstatic and honoured to announce that I will be making History as the FIRST AFRICAN to host at AfropunkBrooklyn in New York City 26 & 27 August. Dreams really do come true.”

The line-up for the festival includes Solange Knowles, Raphael Saadiq and Macy Gray.
