CiCi speaks out after Arthur Mafokate found not guilty for assault: "My fight will continue"

Songstress Busisiwe “CiCi” Thwala is still adamant on getting justice for herself after her ex-boyfriend Arthur Mafokate was found not guilty for assault charges.

Arthur was acquitted at the Midrand Magistrate's Court on Tuesday of assault charges which CiCi Thwala laid against him in June 2017.

CiCi is remaining positive even though the law is still not on her side. She is still set on fighting until her justice is served and she hopes to empower other women as well who are in a similar situations.

Taking to her Instagram page, Thwala released a statement saying that her legal team is accordingly instructed to proceed with the civil suit herein. “My fight will continue until the truth is brought to light – procedure should not prevent the truth from being heard.” She wrote.

"I hope this doesn't discourage you in anyway to speak your truth, stand up for yourself, to fight for your justice. I said in the beginning that I will fight for my justice till the very end, and this is not the end. This is not going to be our narrative as women." She said.
