Johannesburg – SA star Clint Brink shows off a different side in his role as Rakeem in the upcoming season of MTV Shuga.
Speaking to The Juice, the actor says this role is different from any other he’s had in the past.
“I play a guy called Rakeem. He’s the club owner where everything goes down. The platform where the young people meet, where the music gets put out,” Clint tells us.
The star says his character shows the darker side of the entertainment industry.
“For me he is a representation of all of the pitfalls that artists can have in the entertainment industry. Whether it be bad temperament, whether it be negative energy, whether it be drugs.
“He’s also still human, he’s someone that struggles with his own personal life. He has his own goals he wants to achieve in life. Oh, and he’s a bit of a womaniser, a bit of a thug.”
MTV Shuga: Down South is set to premiere on MTV Base (DSTV channel 322) on 8 March.
