Johannesburg - Losing a parent is one of life’s most challenging and heart-breaking ordeals. We never really get used to the loss of a parent and no matter how old we become, we never stop needing them.
Connie Ferguson’s recent Instagram post is not only understandable, but deeply relatable too. The actress’ mother died on 25 July three years ago, and the letter Connie posted in her memory left all of us a bit teary.
Connie shared how she’ll never stop missing her mother.
“Moms, I will never stop loving you. Never stop missing you. I cherish all the memories I have of you. Sometimes your physical absence still doesn’t feel real.”
She ended the letter on a positive note, with a beautiful lesson her mother taught her.
“I learnt unconditional love from you. It’s a legacy I carry proudly in my heart, knowing that you are and will always be there. Continue resting in eternal peace mommy. I’m thinking about you.”
Perhaps her mother’s influence is one of the reasons Connie is such a supportive mom to her two daughters, Alicia and Lesedi, and a loving grandmother to her grandson, Ronewa.
