Cape Town - Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters celebrated one year since being crowned Miss South Africa in Sun City, Johannesburg.
The 22-year-old Sedgefield beauty shared a video of her crowning moment on Instagram, writing: "Today is a very special day to me. It marks one year since I was crowned Miss South Africa and four months of being Miss Universe."
She adds: "The journey of a thousand miles start with one single step. Never underestimate how much can happen in one year."

Miss South Africa went on to win the title of Miss Universe 2017 and has since relocated to New York, where she will be staying for the duration of her reign.
Demi-Leigh has been traveling the world, attending the 2017 Globen Globes, walking the runway at New York Fashion Week and enjoying her very first Super Bowl.
Following her Miss Universe crowning, medical doctor Adé van Heerden took over the Miss South Africa crown. Adé went on to place in the top ten finalist in the Miss World pageant.
