Cape Town - Former Miss Universe Demi-Leigh Nel-Peters is back on home soil.
Demi-Leigh, who has been living in America, since her reign came to an end in 2018 landed in South Africa on Tuesday.
The 24-year-old has established a career as a professional model with IMG Models in the US, the same international model agency as Candice Swanepoel, Kate Moss and the Hadid sisters.
"Motherland," she captioned a photo taken from the airplane window as the aircraft started its descent.
On Tuesday, Demi-Leigh was in Johannesburg, where she had an appointment at a hair salon in Fourways.
Speaking to All4Women Demi-Leigh said that she has a "small family," and she makes an effort to come home every two to three months - or they visit occasionally.
The reason for her visit to the country is unclear, but with Demi-Leigh and fiance Tim Tebow's wedding approaching, we expect the beauty queen to be meeting wit Zavion Kotze - who is "designing" the couple's big day.
The date and location of their wedding has been kept heavily under wraps.
