DJ Zinhle opens up about AKA: We are not fine right now

Johannesburg – After confessing that she is "stable and happy" happy since her break-up with AKA (read more on that here), DJ Zinhle has opened up about the all-out Twar that took place between herself and the father of her child two weeks back, admitting that it took it’s toll on her.

AKA went on a Twitter rant after Zinhle posted a picture of herself on Instagram wearing a T-shirt with the word, #Nonke printed on it – the phrase that went viral after Euphonik used it in an angry rage aimed at his ex, Bonang, on Twitter.

In a rant that spanned a couple of tweets, AKA vented, disapproving of Zinhle’s choice to wear the shirt and post it on social media. "Yesterday was the last of me keeping my mouth shut. That post with the t shirt, totally unnecessary," one of the tweets read.

Speaking to DRUM Magazine about the spat, Zinhle said, "it’s in the past now, but it is what it is." She came clean, saying that what happened affected her in some way. "It affected me but it’s part of life."

The DJ admitted that her relationship with AKA is under a lot of strain at the moment. "We are not fine right now," she said. Though she still hopes that they will eventually deal with everything.

About AKA’s role in their daughter’s life, Zinhle said that the rapper is a good father. "I don’t know what the definition of a single mother is really, because Kiernan is the father. He is very involved in the child’s life. We are co-parents."
