Cape Town - DJ Zinhle has warned people not to fall victim to any scams surround her DJ-ing school called FUSE Academy.

This is after she announced that she has shut down the academy for the time being. However, Zinhle didn’t get into much detail as to why she has made this decision.

“Please note that I have temporarily shut down Fuse Academy.

Do not pay anyone for enrolment even if they are using a Fuse Academy account. If you have paid, please email [email protected],” she tweeted.

The academy, which was founded about ten years ago for females who wanted to be DJs, is the brainchild of DJ Zinhle and her friend Nomndeni Mdakhi.

Nomndeni confirmed to Move! that she is still a partner in this business venture but did not give any other information about why the academy has closed down.

Nomndeni and the DJ have not been close for some time now. Last year fans started asking about their once close friendship before Pearl Thusi came into the picture.

DJ Zinhle had not responded to requests for comment at the time of publishing.
